Last Updated: January 1. 2026
At The Wineologist, we take pride in offering engaging and educational wine experiences. We understand that plans can change, and we strive to accommodate our guests whenever possible. The following policy outlines how refunds, cancellations, and rescheduling are handled for all events, classes, and services.
1. General Policy
All bookings, registrations, and payments made to The Wineologist are considered final once confirmed. By completing a booking, you agree to this Refund & Cancellation Policy as part of our Terms and Conditions.
If you need to cancel, reschedule, or request a refund, please contact us directly at info@thewineologist.com as soon as possible.
All services provided by The Wineologist are educational in nature.
2. Cancellation by the Participant
We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise. Refunds and credits will be issued according to the following schedule:
Public Classes, Tastings, and Events
-
7 or more days before the event:
You may cancel for a full refund or 100% credit toward a future class or event. -
3–6 days before the event:
Eligible for a 50% credit toward a future event of your choice. -
Within 48 hours of the event or no-show:
Non-refundable. No refunds or credits will be issued.
Private or Custom Events
Private tastings, corporate events, or custom-designed classes require advance preparation and venue coordination.
-
Cancellations made 14 or more days in advance may receive a full refund or credit (minus any venue or nonrefundable deposits).
-
Cancellations made within 7–13 days may receive a 50% credit.
-
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event are non-refundable.
Any venue fees, catering, or special supply costs already incurred cannot be refunded once paid to third parties.
3. Rescheduling
If you cannot attend a scheduled class, you may:
-
Transfer your registration to another available session (subject to space and availability), or
-
Send a substitute participant to attend in your place (please notify us at least 24 hours in advance).
We’ll make every reasonable effort to help you reschedule, but we cannot guarantee availability for identical classes or events.
4. Cancellations by The Wineologist
In rare cases, The Wineologist may need to cancel or reschedule a class or event due to:
-
Instructor illness or emergency,
-
Venue unavailability,
-
Weather conditions, or
-
Insufficient enrollment.
If this occurs, you’ll be offered:
-
A full refund, or
-
A credit toward a future event of equal value.
We will always notify registered participants via email as soon as possible.
5. Late Arrivals and No-Shows
Events and classes begin promptly at the scheduled time.
Late arrivals may miss portions of the experience and are not eligible for partial refunds or credits.
Failure to attend without prior notice is considered a cancellation within 48 hours and is non refundable.
6. Gift Certificates and Credits
Gift certificates, promo codes, and event credits:
-
Are non-refundable and non-transferable to cash.
-
May be used toward any eligible upcoming event or class within 12 months of the original issue date.
-
Must be applied at the time of booking.
Expired credits cannot be reissued.
7. Third-Party Bookings
If you booked your event through a partner venue, ticketing platform, or third-party vendor, please refer to their specific refund and cancellation terms.
In those cases, refunds must be processed directly through the original booking source.
8. Force Majeure
If an event must be canceled due to circumstances beyond our control such as natural disasters, venue closures, government restrictions, or severe weather, The Wineologist will make every effort to reschedule the event or issue a credit for future use. Refunds may not be possible if costs have already been incurred with third party vendors.
