Responsible Enjoyment & Code of Conduct

Last Updated: January 1, 2026

At The Wineologist, we believe that wine education and enjoyment go hand in hand with respect, mindfulness, and safety. Whether you’re attending a class, tasting, or private event, we ask all guests to follow the guidelines below to ensure a welcoming, professional, and enjoyable experience for everyone.

1. Drink Responsibly

All participants must be 21 years of age or older and may be required to present valid identification.

Please taste responsibly. Our events are designed for education and enjoyment — not intoxication.

Water, snacks, and spittoons are encouraged and made available whenever appropriate.

Arrange safe transportation if you plan to consume alcohol. The Wineologist reserves the right to refuse service to anyone appearing intoxicated.

2. Respect the Space and Others

Treat fellow participants, instructors, and venue staff with courtesy and respect.

Disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behavior will result in immediate removal without refund.

Handle glassware and materials with care; you are responsible for any damage resulting from misuse.

3. Health and Safety

If you have allergies, sensitivities, or health concerns, please notify us prior to the event.

Follow all venue safety guidelines and local regulations.

Do not attend an event if you are ill or under the influence of any substance that may impair your judgment or safety.

4. Media and Photography

Photos and videos may be taken during events, classes, tastings, or consultations for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to education, documentation, marketing, promotional materials, social media, website content, and future programming. These images or recordings may be used across digital and print platforms to reflect the nature of our experiences and offerings.

Participation in an event or service constitutes consent to be photographed or recorded, unless otherwise communicated in writing prior to the event.

5. Learning Environment

Ask questions, explore, and enjoy! Our classes and tastings are designed to educate and inspire.

Respect others’ opinions and tasting notes — wine appreciation is subjective, and that’s what makes it fascinating.

6. Consequences of Policy Violation

Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in dismissal from an event, denial of future participation, or removal without refund.
