Service Description

Best for Students ready for structured learning who want to make more confident, informed wine choices. Decoding the Wine Label is a structured educational wine class focused on understanding what information on a wine label actually means. Rather than guessing or relying on price or familiarity, this class provides practical tools for interpreting labels with clarity and intention. Led by Suzanne Bonham, the class explores key label elements from major wine regions including France, Italy, Spain, and beyond. You will learn how to interpret details such as vintage, appellation, grape variety, classification, and producer, and how each element relates to style, quality, and origin. The session also compares Old World and New World labeling approaches, showing how regional regulations and traditions influence what appears on the bottle. Guided tasting practice is integrated throughout the class, allowing you to connect label information directly to structure, flavor, and style in the glass. This class is designed to replace hesitation with understanding. By the end, you will feel more comfortable navigating wine shops, reading labels with purpose, and choosing wines that align with your preferences. Format In-person · Instructor-led wine education with guided tasting practice Duration 2 hours
