Service Description

Best for Enthusiasts and professionals seeking immersive wine education, analytical tasting skills, and a deeper understanding of terroir, aging, and regional nuance. Wine 301 is an immersive, multi day wine course designed to deepen understanding through focused regional study, analytical tasting practice, and thoughtful exploration of how wines evolve over time. The course applies foundational knowledge with greater precision, supporting a more intentional and confident approach to wine evaluation. Across four sessions, participants explore how terroir, climate, soil, and winemaking philosophy shape wine style and quality. Emphasis is placed on regional nuance, structural balance, and the ways wines develop with age. Guided tasting practice is central to the course. Structured, supportive exercises build confidence in analytical and blind tasting, with a focus on clarity, calm evaluation, and thoughtful observation rather than performance or pressure. Led by Suzanne Bonham, the course is designed for dedicated learners who want to refine their tasting voice, strengthen their ability to assess quality, and engage more deeply with wine for personal enrichment or professional development. By the end of Wine 301, participants approach wine with greater precision, confidence, and insight, supported by a clear analytical framework that can be applied consistently. Course Outline Day 1 Classic Regions and Terroir Study of benchmark regions across the Old and New Worlds including Burgundy, Bordeaux, the Rhône, Northern Italy, and select New World appellations.
